I see supervision as a co-created process. I like to work collaboratively and think supervision works best as a relational process. Just like the therapeutic relationship it is based on trust, reflection and exploration. I am passionate about creating a supportive and reflexive space in which to deeply explore limiting beliefs, and seek to develop an empowering practice within a culture of mutuality, support and respectful challenge. In this way, I support supervisees to develop a strong reflexive approach to their work, and aim to facilitate transformation for both the supervisee and the wider system.
Central to my appoach is the Seven-Eyed Model (Hawkins, McMahon & Shohet) which has been found to be effective for clinical supervision (both individual and group), managerial supervision, mentoring, and organisational supervision. I use the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision as a basis for looking at the different dynamics that may be at play. In this way an issue can be looked at from many different angles, often creating more space and an expanded possibility of understanding with which to identify a way forward.
